Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • BENTLY or EKTA help required.

    Hi everyone.

I'm doing some research for a uni project, long and short, I'm after some indepth diagrams/technical drawings of a turbo.

So if anyone with EKTA or a Bently would be able to flick through and see if there's anything appropriate, I would be very appreciative!

I need more than just an exploded diagram, I need something that has dimensions hopefully (or part numbers, which I can find the dimensions of those parts)

    Thanks in advance.

    Jarred

I'm pretty sure I might have a book that can help, does it need to be a specific turbo?
    76 MkI 3 door - daily drive/project - 1.8 5speed
    76 MkI 3 door swallowtail - 16v track car
76 MkI 3 door "long term" project

Found one pic there that would have been suitable, but unfortunately with no specifications or dimensions (part sizes etc) it's useless.

I did spend an hour this morning on google images trying to find stuff, but to no avail, which is why I figured that something from a proper repair manual might be the go.

Something similar for a fuel pump might be useful though (exploded view with specifications & dimensions etc)

might not be as in depth as you need but garrett have basic drawings of their all their turbos with dimensions on their website.

            Something like this one http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbob..._2_3_4_new.pdf
