Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Any Honda City Turbs in oz?

    You're allowed to laugh....

I'm sure there are some in Australia, but has anyone ever seen one for sale or know what they'd go for in oz.

My cousin said I could have his one if I want to take it back to Australia (from NZ.)

It's not something you'd do to make money on, but it has to make financial sense, won't be happeneing this year, but I've had such a laugh driving it around here in NZ I'd have to consider it.

Won't ask the age old question of shipping, just keen to hear if anyone knows anything about them in terms of the car market $$$$, and couldn't be bothered joining OZHonda (they dont accept hotmail as email accounts..., and I'm not the biggest Honda fan around, some are tidy...(stop reading my posts Alexx, hehe)).

Very cool cars, they're silly looking, but thats part of the fun, obviously not to be taken seriously but their acceleration isn't to be laughed at (que horrified brother trailing on quad bike). Would be fun for a track-hack.

Don't knock 'em til you try 'em.

They had something like 89kw to move around 800kg.

    Absolute rollerskate!

Rare as hens teeth though now. good luck finding one.....

You could always hunt down a mighty boy and throw a hayabusa mill in it? might be on par for price but blow it away everywhere else

I've found the car, I've been driving it all week, its just here in NZ.

Peedman, it's a 1.3L Turbo in an old bug eyed Honda City, the one I've been driving is the more sleeper T1, and the later T2 got the big wide bodykit.

Big HYPER TURBO sticker on the back window is known to add 15kW, and reduce drag 0.003.
