Thanks for the mail,i will like to know the present condition of the car and how much you are willing to sell it to me cos i am buying the car as a birthday gift for the my Brother-in-law and i am out of town at the moment on job duties and i really want the car to be a surprise for him,so i wont let him know anything about it until it gets delivered to him ,i am sure he will be very happy with it.I will pay you with my paypal account because i don't have access to my bank account as i don't have internet banking where i am here,i will need you to give me your paypal email address so i can make the payments asap for the car and please if you don't have paypal account yet, it is very easy to set up, go to www.paypal.com.au and get it set up , after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you use for registration with paypal so as to put the money through.I have a pick up agent that will come and pick the car up after i have made the payment.

Definitely dodgy.
They re-call payment and get your car and their money.
How can he pay you through paypal if he doesn't have access to internet banking in his current location?Last edited by team_v; 01-03-2010, 06:47 AM.

Definitely a classic online scam.
Tell him you have read about a lot of scammers buying cars through paypal and because of that you will only sell to his agent for cash - he'll probably go away and stop pestering you (and don't accept a "bank cheque" either, these days these can be faked too easily). If he persists, sic the cops onto him (these days most forces have special units set up for internet fraud).2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
