Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Guard rolling Sydney. Mobile?

I really should get the mki guards rolled.

Any reccomendations? Any if the mobile dudes ok? If no one knows I will find a local bodyshop up near me in the mtns to look at it for me.

The scraping sound makes me cringe everytime.

go to Crescent Motorsports in liverpool, speak to Joe or Reynold and tell them i sent you.. they use a heat gun etc and do it properly.
    What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

I will have to take the flares off to get the guards rolled - you MK1 boys - so what is best to do with the flares? Trim them down? If you do that how do you affix them (i'm hoping Matt you did not glue these ones on!! )

I did use Nelson from sydney guard rolling, and I did recommend him. I'm ever so slightly reluctant to recommend him now, because he did chip my paint in a few areas when there's supposedly a guarantee not to. I'm not fussed though..lol
