Talking to a friend who's just taped USA sized plates to his Falcon, he was telling me that it's illegal to have your plates held on my tape.

Yet it's illegal to drill additional holes through the centre of the plates to accommodate the factory hole on the boot lid/bumper.

Is this true? If it is, I'm screwed. Even though cops will never pick up on it.
