What's the difference between Corporate and Corporate Plus?

Corporate is 5% off list price, and Corporate Plus is 10% off list price, can't remember of both also have the reduced dealer delivery charge as well. There is a post floating around with the link to the actual VW sales guide for the program, tells you everything

I was lucky enough to find out about corporate discounts only through BMW (I was also looking at a 1 series). So since then I asked everywhere I went if they had corporate discounts. The base corporate discount I got off my GTI was about $3200... then of course negotiated a little bit more.

Does anyone know if you need to show your membership card to be eligible for the corporate discount, or you able to just provide other documentation with your name and the name of the institution on it (ie. if you don't have a membership card) ?

I joined up to VCA (Victorian Canine Association) and when i signed the contract i didn't need the card.
But now that my car is ready, the manager said i need to show the card when i pay for it as they need to make a photocopy of it (he said it is like cash to them).

I asked him if i can just show my member number and statement on the Credit Card, he said no, they need the card.

So the card came in on Tuesday and i can now pick up the car today!!

Wow! I just looked at the membership fees for that, and that has to be the CHEAPEST organisation I've seen to join which is eligible for a discount at VW. Are you able to let us know what the discount was this entitled you to?

I joined up for like $107 and this gives me a $1400 discount.
It is there Corp plus discount and apperntly their highest one for the GTI.

$1400 is nothing to sneeze at. However, the dealer delivery on a MK6 GTI is $2995 (at most dealers) and I was positive that there was a corp discount availlable for the MK6 GTI which lowered this immediately to $995. So I'm sure that there is a higher discount than $1400 available.....

... but then again, it would also depend on what you've negotiated separately to this

Yeah im happy i got $1400 off my negotiated $49650. Got the car for $48000 all up with a but more negotiating.

I know its not that much but i didn't know what other corp discounts there were and i heard that this one was like the quickest and simpliest one to get.
Meh, im happy with the price.

Dealer delivery is only $1600 at Berwick VW. I reckoned that was a discount compared to all the other dealers I went to. Dealer delivery rangd from $3000 to $4000
I then got $4000 corp discount.
My Golf GTI lands in Melbourne next week.

I have been told by several dealers that VW Australia are now 'cracking down' on who they are giving Corporate Discounts to, and that you must be a member for a minimum of 3 months at the time of signing the deal.
