Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

    Hi Guys,

I have decided to look at the broker option for buying the Tiguan.

Has anyone had any experience with privatefleet and if so how was your expereince.

Any other broker's i should be considering?

    Small outfit but quick.

Private Fleet crap on about putting you in a tender system with other tenders they have for government orders. They tell you they will just add your car to the tender then come back later in the day and pressure you to proceed with the price they have and if you dont you will loose out on that price.

Private Fleet do not supply anyone with vehicles besides the general public who contact them via phone or email.

The link doesn't work for me.

I got the best deal i could from private fleet and asked Highway VW to match it.
Highway VW matched it and dropped the price a little and i have now gone through them for the purchase.

If you are already eligable for a corporate discount or other discount, then there isn't really any point going through the pbroker as they will only be able to match it at best.

As i wasn't eligable for a discount and had no options to bargain teh price down with, i went through them to get the best price and then negotiated from that to get free floor mats and metallic paint.

Like others I couldn't get a corp discount so I decided to go through PF to get a Suzuki Swift for my wife. (didn't like the Polo)
The car was ordered begining of January and was supposed to be delivered two weeks ago. As yet not car, no emails phone calls or kiss your mother from PF let alone the dealer.
I am now contemplating cancelling the order even if that means loosing the deposit and paying up to 5%.
PF can go and get !!!! Not impressed

Give them a call and ask what dealer it is going through.
You could then try to go through that dealer and lose out on the membership with privatefleet ($180).

Email isn't always the best way of contacting someone.
I called them as it took too long for them to respond to my email requests.
Had already gone elsewhere for 2 weeks before they responded to me.
