Nice choice. I'm glad you went with the Jetta and not the Passat. I've driven the 2.0T in both cars (as well as Audi A6) and it just doesn't pull enough in bigger chassis.

I personally would have gone for an '09 plate 2.0T rather than the 1.4 but each to their own.

How does it compare to the Golf?

i also would have preferred the 147tsi...its the old ladies car so whatever she says goes. she wanted the fuel efficiency & 'new technology'.
i think the jetta will definately give the golf a good run! delivery will be feb 20th. so cant be to specific about the drive as of yet

        Congratulations on the new Jetta.
I am sure you will love it when you get it.
I beleive there is going to be a 2010 Jetta 147 Highline, but it might not be available as of yet.
Your car is a good choice though, and in the right colour as well...

ahh yes we ended getting the car 12th feb. damn quick!
the jetta is amazing to drive. taking it home & driving it again & again you realise how much of a nice car it is. everytime i jump into my mk4 gti feels like im in a commodore in comparison with the jetta.
            power is very impressive

Stunning pics,it looks just like mine.
You will love the Reflex Silver,it always looks smart,is easy to keep clean as does not show the dirt and does not show little scratches.
I think it is VW s signature colour, and suits the Jetta perfectly.
Like the alloys yours came with, they are the new design, and I have seen a few here with those mags.
                  WELL DONE ON YOUR PURCHASE.

By the way, what did the new Jetta replace ???

thanks, you are right silver is smarter...if only white came in a subaru or accord euro finish would have loved white.

jetta replaced a toyota corolla seca 1990. im sure everyone will agree the best & most reliable car ever.

Corollas are good,I also have a 2001 Ascent sedan in my household, but the Jetta is in a diffirent league...lol.

The only colour which I dont think suits the Jetta is White...
All the dark colours are awesome,as are the light metallics.

Of no relevance to the OP, but anyone else considering the new Honda Euro - check out the gazillion-page thread at Ozhonda on pinging engines. Honda have release revised ECU software and a different knock sensor but some owners are reporting these ineffectual and are stuck with new $45k cars which ping their heads off.

FWIW I own a 2008 CL9 Euro (the superceded model - no pinging issues on that model) and a 2007 Golf GTI. Both are great cars - I could happily live with either long term.
2018 Golf GTI, Manual - gone.
2017 Golf 110tsi Trendline, manual (gone - gladly)
2007 Golf GTI, Manual, (gone - sadly)
1978 Golf GLS; 1972 Superbug, (memories)
