Well after a very long weekend down in the sun, to say it was awesome is an understatement!

I hadn't been down to this event for a couple of years & it has grown HUGE!

My friends were there for 3 days & 2 nights & I stayed for 2 days & 1 night & wish I had of gone down with them for the extra day & night.
They had a hotel room right on the main drag & just kicking back drinking jack stubbies watching the cars & people roll past was relaxing as hell!

The night life went off & was crazy as, incl. the late night pier nude jumping (which I missed out on! DOH!) haha More of that for another time.

There were heaps of cars & even more people & I'm pretty confident there would of been something there for everyone!

My highlight was Dom talking me into entering my car to get some track time.

              & it was awesome fun!

So with Nick (Dom's dad) as my co-pilot after helping hotwiring a hotrod & Josh & then Dom as passengers it was time for some fun! LEGALLY! haha

At first I copped all the usual heckling like "they'll let anything in here with chrome bumpers!" or "You've got to be kidding me! A VW!" & a few more!

But after a couple of pitlane exit powerskids, the crowd turned around & started pointing & grabbing there mates as we came around again! haha

The car performed faultlessly through out the entire weekend (except for a crappy thermofan earth connection which caused alittle bit of overheating! Damn 76er's earth connections!) incl. the 8 hour round trip to & from home.
I still have the ignition would up to aggressively, & pings when hot & in 3rd, but it can still crack on & turn you into a giggle fit.

I only went out for some fun & a bit of a **** stir with some fast muscle car's. Not many people had a bite, but it wasn't long before people were all turning there heads & giving a few thumb's up to us out on the track!

I tried it on with a friends 12 sec turbo'd falcon & he didn't take the chance. In all honesty, he would have flogged me, but he was still alittle weary about it!

I think it was the rolling 50+km/h powerskids! haha

Now all I need is another power upgrade. I'm thinking more than double the output of whats its got!

              Anyway. On with the pic's

I got alittle bit artistic with my camera. I got it for xmas. Its only a point & shoot 12megapixel Olympus Optio S12

some pics are alittle average, cause of people walking around everywhere & you just had to get in & take the pic & move on.

                      Just for you Velly!

But its the later version Road Runner. The ugly duckling. I like the earlier versions

Still can't complain about the 440 though! haha

There were hemi powered cars & hotrods everywhere! I've never seen so many Hemi engines all in one place!

Only Preeny would have seen more! haha
