  • Tourist attraction in Melbourne and QLD

Next year Aug/Sep possibly will be going to Melbounre for a weekend and QLD the next weekend.

Anyways asking for the locals help (esp. Melbournians as I'm stuck on what to do there since it rains there all the time )

It will be with family from Europe if that helps a bit...

Currently what I'm looking at doing is: (These are only possibilities)

    Melbourne
    - See the "12" Apostles
    - ......

    QLD
    - Theme Parks
    - Cairns Maybe
    - GBR

I'm not gonna lie, Brisbane isn't the most interesting of places in Australia. It's nice, but I guess that's my opinion because I've lived here all my life.

Movie World, Dreamworld and Sea World are all good fun, Wet'n'Wild isn't my thing (not into water parks). If you're into drives then Mt Glorious is a really scenic cruise.

See the Great Barrier Reef before it apparently disappears and the Nth QLD tablelands are another really nice sight. Other than that I can't really think of anything else in QLD.

Ps first you copy me with your car, now you're trying to come find me? Just admit it, you're trying to be me.

If you've only got a weekend you may be limited on seeing much of the GBRMP. I suggest if you can get a seaplane organised and fly out to the reef for a day and snorkel some of the nicer areas. A week or several weeks is a better options to really get the experience. Whitsundays, Fraser, Moreton or Stradbroke Island, Daintree rainforest just to name a few more.

Another vote for the islands, they're pretty interesting. If you've got kids, I guess the theme parks will need to be seen. Cairns is ok, the big Skyrail thing is cool.

Not a lot in Brisbane as Alex said, best head to some sort of coastal location.

          Don't forget the Tamborine Skywalk.

In case you don't know what a rainforest looks like.
