827 1.8?

Hi..I need some help to identify the 1.8L watercooled engine in the 73 Kombi I have just bought. Engine No. I think is JN 087 891. Block is marked 1.8 on the same side as the manifold (non cross flow). It has points dizzy ,single carb , 8V. Can anyone supply info Re specs/year etc? Also are there any photos available showing temp gauge sender and what the metal take off 'tube' is for comming out of the head just above the manifold.
