Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I've known of Glenn for about 20 years, the chap who helped me out with the panel work on the Passat, Dennis, used to do some contract work for Glenn at the Sunroof Factory.

Their sunroof installs are amazing they actually get a big hydraulic powered jig into the interior of the car to press the rain channel around the roof, factory style.

Hey Dom wouldn't you be better off buying a complete kit from one of the air-ride traders on vortex and installing it yourself? I can only imagine the local minitruck/lowrider shops would be pretty expensive...I could be wrong though

eg. Open Road, Mason Tech, Bagyard, etc etc

yeah ive got quotes from those guys and its around 3.5 to 4k shipped which is pretty good, but most of the aussie blokes also supply air shocks n stuff that will bolt up too.... its too confusing especially when your new to the game.

but i think i will either go some bagyards or mason-techs, (same thing really)
