Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Any chance of going better than pics with in-car footage?

          Congrats again

Congrats Al, talk to Dave about in/on car footage as he has 3 cameras on his R32 which show great footage with the awesome sound too. I have heaps of his dvds from both the Targas this year but dont know how to load them up to show them here. Hours of the stuff!
Your car will be stored just around the corner from my workshop from what I have heard?

Hi Andrew thanks mate, yes David has sent us all his DVD's of his R in both Targa Tas and Targa Wrest Point and we have been going through them.

Even though a lot of the stages will change for this year it is still good to get an idea of how the event runs etc.

We have been very lucky in that not only did we get the Tarmac Scholarship but David from Ambulance Private has been kind enough to ask us to join his team so all the logistics, servicing and accommodation arrangements have been taken care of for us!

Thanks to everyone else for your warm wishes and support, as you can imagine Marti and I are stoked and the phone hasn't stopped ringing off the hook all arvo, hopefully we can use the momentum to help us snag another couple of sponsors for the 4 rounds of the championship.

                        Cheers Al

Al, congratulations to both yourself and Marti. So freaking awesome. Looking forward to seeing you ripping it up on the TV highlight packages.
Pretty damn sweet to have the team thing organised as well. Will mean much less stress on you guys so you can focus purely on driving and enjoying yourselves.
                          Good stuff.
