yeah they are the ones I'm looking at
Have emailed the dealer to see if there are any in black/dark blue.

$23,888 seems like a steal considering most second hand ones are still around $20-23k

        Buy my old polo...http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/...=128&silo=1011

No, but seriously if I was in your position (having been a POLO GTI owner) I would go the golf. Better all rounder- more versatile + bigger.

I was in the same position as you when looking last year.

The decision became much easier after test driving them both -- and since I had no need for boot space or regularly carting around more than two bodies, it was a no brainer -- and the Polo is just so much easier to thrown around.

But yeah, drive them both, you'll know straight away which will be better for you.

Well guys, somebody just put down a deposit on a brand new 2009 Polo GTI
Took it for a drive, enjoyed it a lot, and for the price of $23,888 drive away for a brand spanking new car (not demo), couldn't say no. I visited another dealer this morning who wanted $27,888 and wouldn't budge so this seemed like a great deal, considering they were selling a demo for the same price!

Now I just have to wait till Nov 4 to get it

Yeah I couldn't believe it considering the list price is something like $31000.
I had been enquiring about the demo model and asked how many k's it had, and the salesman looked at some papers and said "heh, I'll do you a brand newie for the same price".

That is an awesome deal. I guess your dealer was particularly hungry for the sale. Congratulations on the purchase.

I drove a MKV GTI and I thought it was boring. Ended up getting a new Polo GTI for the gf. This was a few years ago. I swear the MKV GTI was overpriced...

                        Thanks mate
Yeah it was the last new one left so I think they were just clearing it out. Seems to be a good time to have been looking for a new car seeing as the new models are on their way.

Going to be a very impatient week and a half for me!

                              Thanks guys

It's Reflex Silver, which means that I also got metallic paint for that price

Going to go straight to the window tinters after I pick it up, and order some lowering springs right away too. Considered going straight to Volkspower to get a flash, but figured I should drive it around on stock power for a while and run it in a bit
