Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    See link below re the new Golf's,and passat stolen from liverpool holding yard some time ago.

    Hahahaha, they claim the 12 stolen cars are worth over 500K.
    Sensationalised media but at least they caught them.

        Let's see, most of these were new cars from memory (including an R32) and I've taken estimates of prices only on the cars listed:
        VW Golf 35k
        VWGolf 35k
        VWGolf R32 55k
        Lancer Evo X 70k
        Barina 15k
        Triton 40k
        Passat R36 65k
        Impreza 40k
        Mazda 3 30k
        Commodore 40k
        425k

        Give or take a few mistakes or incorrect prices there plus two more cars it's not hard to reach $500k.

          Why the hell would you steal unregistered vehicles? Not much use as their VIN's would be recorded as stolen.. =S and those cars arent exactly full of parts which are rare.

            Speaking of parts, does anyone know if they were completely intact?
