Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Does anyone know what the penalty is if the Police care enough to fine you?

Mind you, the undercover Aurion that pulled me over the other night had their fog lights on....

I totally agree about the rear one. Those fog lights are dangerous; I always change lanes if I'm behind on of those idiots. Messes with your depth perception.

But unless you're talking about those yellow fog lights or high mounted ones on 4WDs and such, I can't say the standard low front bar fog lights found on most new cars these days are a hazzard. If anything, since they're pointed so low to the ground, it's great for seeing a car in the distance without getting blinded.

I'd much rather see the Police give out fines for cars with misaligned low beams.

Focusing on the actual problem! Now there's a novel thought. Not going to happen any time soon though when there's dollars to be made.

On a side note I've spotted 2 marked police Aurions and a silver unmarked Aurion this weekend with their extremely won't someone think of the children dangerous and hazardous fog/driving lights on. Oh the humanity.

              Cheers,
