Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Vehicle Lift Jack in Sydney

    Hey guys.

    This weekend I took my Tiguan off-road and managed to scrape to bottom on a rock. I would like to get underneeth it to take a good look and see if I did any damage that needs work. Can anyone suggest where I might find someone with a vehicle lift jack that'll put it up in the air so I can take a good look? Preferabley in the Inner West (Five Dock area) or Lower North Shore (St Leonards area).

    Talk to a mechanic and see if he'll let you lift it up on the hoist for 10 minutes!

      A work mate recommended me to this little mechanic service place in Crows Nest that specialises in euro cars, maybe you can ask them? The owner is quite friendly last time I went there for an oil change:
