  • How far does your car drive on average?

Just reading a forum where someone said they had covered nearly 10K in three months (new car) which seems stupidly high ie 100km / day average.

KM's / Days old to nearest year.

    79' MK1 Golf = 233K = 21km/day

    88' MK2 Golf = 220K = 29km/day

    89' Audi 90 = 320K = 44km/day

Obviously newer cars are prone to high km's during initial working life but interested to hear all averages.

I usually drive my car on weekends only (sometimes once or twice during the week). I reckon I average about 100km a week at the moment. That's the beauty of living so close to the city/work.

I do about 500 a week in the Ibiza. The S3 does about 250ish, mostly not me..... Toledo probably on 150 a week tops.

          16km/day, VR6 74,635km

Mine varies alot, generally got to do with whether its running or not hahaha! I'd say between 1-200 a week, I did 350k's last sat running around Sydney in my dad's falcon, worst car ever!!!

Based on year of car and KM's travelled, works out to around 40km/day on average. Although recently it's more like 30km/day (~200km/week).

Not really stupidly high, I clock 100km per day to work and back, so excluding weekends I will probably do around 6,000km in 3 months.

It only takes me 45 minutes to get to work....pretty typical of a lot of people who live in SA really....I'd rather drive 50km in 45 minutes than 10km in the same time though, like some of our eastern states friends have to do!

2008 MkV GTI = 27km/day (10000kms in a year travelled). This average is rising currently with usage closer to 60kms/day at present (longer commute).

                              2005 RB Liberty = 62 km/day (103000km in 4.5 years travelled).
