Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

those are some awesome cars, always a soft spot for cars that you grew up driving, or your parents, relatives, friends and neighbors had.

So where is the differential in that Top Fuel drag car?
Looks like it'd be right between your knees!

Our family is the cat, our three boys, the little lady and our 1969 Sunbeam Imp. There are some VW's as well, but they live outside.

And at one stage there were a few more in the family, but they have dispersed since having to move.

Your legs go either side and it sits just infront of your nuts.. It's really quite comfortable.

i love W108's. looked at getting one as my first car (among plenty of other things!)

whens it getting dumped on airbags?!

Love the "Buggie" (Sorry don't know the proper name for it). Who did the chassis? Very well constructed and finished off well. If you are game to show it without paint on it then you must be happy with it too..

I like the 350z's. Not enough to own one (just not my thing..) but they are a nice neat package.

Ahh righto. Well you're a skilled man nonetheless. I hope the boys in the toolroom down there are nicer than we treat some of the engineers up here! Haha. Having said that, you're obviously pretty switched on and we only tell idiots that they are idiots.
