Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • FYI My dads review of the TESLA roadster

"Today I drove the new Tesla - it is the all electric sports car which X bought costs $100,000. Much publicity about it here. Faster than a ferrari - actually it is an absolute clone of a Lotus Elise except with electric motor and incredible torque - tiny inside and hard ride

One huge turn off for the Tesla is the steering - absolutely no power steering so I was cranking away at this small steering wheel and it was really as heavy as a tractor - it simply slows down one's ability to get through corners because you are struggling to get around, literally!

For the rest, it is awesome. One truly clever feature that they are developing and coming soon once they have enough cars on the road is a station in which you simply drive in, you battery is loaded beneath the car and a robot removes the flat one and replaces it with a fully charged one and one minute later you are on your way. Petrol is history! As for range, tesla has 400 MILES! if driven easy and about 250 miles if driven hard."
*Disclaimer - Don't rely on me, seek your own professional advice. Audi R8 E-tron. 230kw 4500nm! (not a typo).

For over 100k US, you would expect it to be a pretty good car.
All the reviews i have read have given it a pretty shocking report though.
I think the one on topgear actually broke when they were using it.

Mate for much less than that money I would much prefer the dodge charger or challenger.

Domestic. Not Domesticated. Dodge vehicles are bred for performance. Explore the full Dodge lineup, inventory, incentives, dealership information & more.

        Yum, drool.

Yeah the BM is a nice car, my bil had one, went like stink, paddle shift etc.

But the Dodges are proper muscle cars and rare over here. The Beemer is a little common in comparision.
