  • To code, or not to code?

As some of you may know I've ordered my GLI skirts and rear bumper extension from the USA and they should be arriving very soon.. Now I face the question: Should I colour code these parts?

This is what it would look like stock:

This is another option, colour code the parts but leave the area in the orange textured black:

    Or colour code the lot...:

Obviously not the same bumper but i'm sure you get the idea

As always, your input/advice is appreciated

The lot or the leave the orange. I rekon it looks like a base model if you leave it the whole thing textured. LOL @ the plates.

      Colour code the lot.
Like it has been said above, the car looks like a base model with the textured plastic, i guess this is why vw are getting rid of the massive textured bumpers for the newer models.

Gloss black on gloss black will look sweet!

lol the plates are awesome! Reminds me of the RS4(?) with the plates, "JDM LOL".

Oh and colour code the top but leave the orange.

either colour code the whole thing or leave the orange.... then get some air ride and dump it

as I stated before you need to make it look like this but in black

Definately code the lot. Gives a much cleaner look IMO.

I like the second option. I think some coding is needed but I dig a little texture now and then. Are you going to lower it soon?

Maybe.. I kinda like the idea of keeping it badged.. Especially the TDI part lol.. If anything i'll change the badges to the Mk4 style so it's like the rest of the VW range..

I'm still waiting for the phone call to say that my springs have arrived. No rush though, more time means I get to save more money for it. I also like the idea of having a little texture in the middle and it looks great on brigher coloured cars, but I don't think it'll stand out enough on a black car...

Mate I'd go full colour cos textured bumpers belong on the mk3's

But in seriousness, yeah, full colour !

Was waiting for you to comment.. If the textured part didn't come up so far (Mk4 Bora style) it'd be ok.. But it comes up half way and shows way too much plastic.

I reckon I will go all the way though (provided it can be done and the experimentation with my old bumper goes well)..
