Also wise words, at the end of the day they have a very tough job. Some people don't treat them well and they end up coping the penalty, I've always found be nice to the copper and he should return the favor, you wouldn't like to be yelled and abused at your job would you?

As long as your car isn't over the top, riced up or ratty you shouldn't have to many issues, most people will think it's just some nice old car Dom.

Why dont you get the car fully engineered? Should help avoid the dreaded yellow sticker.

In WA, any police officier can issue defects (i think).

lol, the car (engineering wise) is standard, only things illegal is coilovers and height, poking wheels, tyre size, red indicators, non directional front lights.....

everything but coilovers cant be engineered....

well that's just it.

You'd have to be pretty silly, to go out and do all these things and not expect a little bit of extra attention.

If it ever happens to me, I'll just accept it, and then go about fixing it. Yelling at a copper wont help at all will it now.

Pretty sure any cop can give you a defect, Highway patrol are just all c**ts and will go out of their way to defect you - Normal cops will generally use their discretion.

Never anyone in Highway patrol that wasn't a c**t, happy to be proven wrong though!!

my first car recieved a number of defects for the below - i recieved minor/major from divy van to HP's cars - anyone that drives near TMU HQ in knox knows the grey BA to watch out for (most likly changed now, this is 2-3 years ago)

FMIC & pod
Wheel/tyre combo
Exhaust was EPA'd number of times
BOV
Painted eyebrows on front/rear lights

I had to remove all the above to pass @ vic roads, i have also witnessed many friends being told coilovers are not legal in the pits
