Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Official Photoshop Thread

    Hey everyone,

I had a quick look and thought that the forum could do with a thread dedicated to Photoshop mods.

I think these threads are good examples:
Dom's wheel request thread and Mickey's photoshop request thread .

Perhaps you could post your photo and requests and someone who has photoshopping skills could help out if they have the time. I think it'd be beneficial if we had somewhere permanent like this thread to turn to for these kinds of requests.

Hahaha, the balance won't change with photoshop! It might look good though...

I'm gonna put it to the mods that we have a photoshop section because frankly we'll use it well I think. For now, I've stickied this thread but it won't be permanent (because we have enough stickies haha).

      Cheers

It would probably be easier to turn the green car blue to match your cars colour. Only diff would be the amount of doors

Create one thread, with the links to all the stickies. There will be then one sticky, but all the others are in there. Would clean it up heaps, and allow good threads which should haven't been stickied but haven't so that the message board wouldn't be clogged up. ....or somthing like that?

Wow hold up sunshine that sounds a fraction brutal. Yes that sounds like it can work, though a) it's not my decisin, b) he isn't incompetent and c) he's working on it i'm sure.

Have a look on that site.

You can select, c+p the "part" (select the car minus the windows etc) to a new layer and adjust the hue/brightness/contrast/opacity to get the effect you want.

You can add a new fill layer, lower the opacity and delete the parts you dont want coloured...

Have a look at the tuts and you'll pick it up in no time...

Might have a go at your's after dinner
