  • Wind fairings????

    any one know where to get roof rack wind fairings from??? i've tried TJM and ARB. but they don't have them. i can find them on international websites so i'm pretty sure they're not a discontinued item.

    eg:


    ps dont worry i'm not puting one on the golf

    They don't distribute them here - I got mine on US eBay for $100 inc. shipping.

      I really really want to know where they got the wreath from..

      Have you tried VW spare parts or any other make that could have them?

        Have you tried Rook Rack City ??

        I've got a mate with the Thule racks on his 4wd and he has one of these deflectors. He thinks he remembers getting it from their Haberfield store.

          i tried the roof rack city web site. but the nearest thule licenced dealer to me had never seen them before. US ebay you say... will have to check it out. i'll call roof rack city and there is another thule dealer near my work i'll check at lunch today.

            Yeah I tried ARB and other roof rack specialists and they had never heard of a wind fairing before. The closest thing they had was mounted to a roof rack carriage and couldn't be separated.
            Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
            Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

              does yours only mount to the square type racks or the rounded ones too?

                  Mine came with the square-type mounts. I think you'd be able to get round type mounts from Thule US.

                          and stopping the air from getting under your snow boards and lifting them off at high speed.


                          plus they look funky with stickers on em (which, lets face it, is really why i want one)
