Although, I can imagine my dad calling me every 4 minutes "Ale, how do you turn the Air Conditioning on?" or "Ale, how do you turn the Printer on?" or "Ale, are you coming home for dinner?".

It happens now, imagine when I move out.

one way to remedy that- offer to do all the cooking, and just cook indo mie every single day.

indo mie- it works on so many levels.

I moved out over a year ago and love it. First few months were a struggle and every now and again you come accross a lump of bills along with a car that needs fixing (ie right now) and it can be a fair kick in the nads, but you learn to live off nothing!

Have fun mate, you will learn alot (like how to wipe your bum and how to use a knife and fork )

Tinned soup dude. It's only a couple of dollars, lasts aaaaaages and is a brilliant hot lunch/dinner when the fridge is empty. I just had a ravioli soup at work and loved it.

man, tofu in a tube from your friendly local asian grocer- a dollar a tube, and its 250gms worth.

add abit of soy and shredded seaweed, and it fills that void.

then, when you get paid, you can re-fill the void with good food like jindy brie cheese, good smoked trout, eggplant and bazil dips, and quad-stacks from burger king (AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!)

or learn to make your own soup - it will still only cost you a few bucks and you make tonnes of it and freeze it! The same can be done for all sorts of food and making your own really is the cheapest, healthiest way to go. Doesnt have to be time-consuming either - I can make plenty of meals in about 20-30mins.... my secret is about 3 of those "20 minute meal" cookbooks - they are a life saver

my oldest son is 19. going on 20 and hasnt left home yet (still at uni).

but part of the price of not leaving home is me forcing him to eat Scotch fillet steaks etc for dinner

                      (god I'm a ba$t4rd LOL)

                        okay, that settles it.

next time im exhausted after a day of riding, im having a scotch fillet steak. thats final.

im at work, hungry, and after reading ''scotch fillet steak'' i suddenly feel lonely and depressed as i stare at my foam bowl of instant noodles.

They are the awesome. I worked back late the other night and came home to a corona and scotch fillet in brandy, cream and peppercorn sauce. Yummo!

mmmmm Steak. Best steak is anything that is nice and thick - seared both sides, chuck in the oven for 30-40min with your choice of marinade (something with mead or port in it is good, though the brandy one sounds great too) then throw in the pan again for 30 seconds each side!

My mate is cooking me a lamb roast tonight - actually that's another good thing to do when you move out..... Me and my mates always used to have Steak night - was Monday night so we could watch Top Gear and no girls were allowed. Was held at a different persons place each week so you'd get a free feed 4/5 mondays. Havent been doing it this year but I think I might have to kick it off again. We used to do it religously
