Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Mk2 night shots..........

As the title states, night shots of the "2"...

Found a nice spot under the Barney's Point bridge and took a few snaps...

Sorry, still none of the rear end

    Cheers!

Nice shots. Is there any trickery going on with the last one? I noticed the camera is in identical positions for the ones aboe it yet your lights have no glare?

Ha no trickery, they are two different shots, but the tripod never moved. One with the (parking) lights off, one with them on...

The exposure length makes the lights look like they are on low beam, without the overbearing glare (although there is some minor glare - check the lower line of the bonnet). Because I used the same point for light metering in both shots, they are effectively identical with the exception of the parking lights.
