Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Thought i'd throw this up here....

I'm enjoying playing with Euro's, still prefer Jap brutal power but euro's are much much smoooother....

    Previous Audi A4 1.8T Quattro

Current Audi A3 8L 1.8 (engine will probably change shortly)
    It started like this:

and not even 3 hours owning it...

    the mods have begun...

The amp was way to big to fit in the stock sub/amp area, so had to mount it behind the seat.... didn't bloody realize how big the thing was...

ran out of space for the hazards switch..

Replaced front speakers with Alpine typeS 4", made into splits..

    Head unit surround

2.25" 409 grade stainless exhaust, cat back into modified stock rear muffler

Redesigned PCV system and Custom stainless lobster back intake pipe, increased response over the stock plastic intake pipe..

    And then this happened..

17" 215 Front, 225 Rear (will take better photos in daylight)

Rigged up shorter sway bar links from spare parts to stop the sway bar from hitting the drive shaft, until I figure out if i'm getting a new sway bar or customizing the drive shaft..

        Cheers mate!

Got time to fix the front drive shaft binding against's the sway bar... Yes it is the stock ARB...
Just need to order some adjustable ARB links
Can now go alot lower, but back springs are maxed (adjustable perch already taken off), might need to get a custom pair made..
