Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I can dig it Colour looks awesome and I liked what you did to colour-code bits of the wheels.

Fit on smaller wheels once you get the air done; scrape oil pans and subframes

Nice one, the colour coding looks great. I'd like to colour code my comfortline in the future.

I think he means that with smaller wheels, the car will sit lower when the bags are deflated. You'd be hard pressed to fit 22's into the guards if the sills are on the tarmac.

you can get major rim tucking with 22s on the rear with bags and car will not be on the floor as i ave lookd into it and been speaking to the boys at pro bag and its a big job but i want it done

hey man. nice looker you got there. defiantly one to stand out from the crowd.

Just a quick question, since you spent the money getting a full respray, and considering you are getting a fair bit of work done it to, I wonder why you didn't bother to get the bump strips on the bumpers and the doors removed and smoothed over?

this would have cleaned up the car and taken the look up a whole nother notch IMO

It would be an injustice to a GTI if it was done to it.

I can live with the colour but the wheels are bloody terrible.

                              Each to their own though!
