Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Wow that looks really good! Previous owner must've treated it very nicely.
        Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
        Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

Im the GF..and I love hooting around town in it. Well, when I can get his butt out of the drivers seat anyway.

He tells me he is doing it simply to get an idea of the work that needs to be done....but I think he just enjoys driving it as much as I do.

But being air cooled vw owns ... well ... we tend to have to remember the indicators are on the LEFT side of the wheel.

            Cheers
            Beb

Thanks from both of us. had a little problem with the cab tonight. fuel pump would not prime or run.
Tazz hard wired the fuel pump to get us home.
Tested the fuses and there is no power to the fuel pump fuse.
sound like a trip to the auto elec.
