  • ConR's CW Scirocco R

Hey all. Have a build thread on the "other site which shall not be named", but thought I'd post one up here too.

Work/parts courtesy of (and thanks to) Ian@Rennehaus, and Sam@CPC!!!

    Mods so far:
-HPA ECU & DSG Stage 2
    -Milltek DP
    -Akrapovic Slip-On Titanium Tips
    -H&R Sport Springs
    -VWR Racing Intake
    -HPA Engine Mounts (75)

    Coming very soon:
    -VMR V710 19x8.5 ET35 Matte Black
    -255/35/19 Michelin PSS
    -Superpro LCA

Loving it so far! A bunch of pics/vids of the progress so far

    Pick up from dealer:

    Parts arriving:

Post tint/paint decontam/opti-coat (thanks David @ Reflect Effect!!!)

After picking it back up from CPC.......

    The Akra up close:

    VWR Intake:

    H&R Springs

    Milltek DP

Staring in the eye of a black hole

    Undershot of the Akra.

And a few pics. Edgecliff in Collaroy Plateau. Awesome day!

    Now, a bunch of vids!!!

Revving the engine in my carpark:

Waiting for traffic to move up before I thrashed it

    Some night run vids:

Couple cams from the outside today. Still crappy iPhone. Sound seems to cut out during the overrun. And on another run I forgot to shift out of first haha. So it doesn't sound the greatest.

Pretty much. It's just a slip on exhaust. Albeit a very expensive slip on exhaust . Sounds is crazy though! This is pretty much all it is.

            Thanks man.
Yeah that exhaust doesn't look like much but I have seen the R32/R rear mufflers and they are huge!!
These tiny dual mufflers would definately make it louder..I'll have to have a listen!

Yeah some custom work had to be done to mate the Akra to the Milltek DP. I'll try and get a photo of the full TBE when it's back up on a hoist (prolly this week). My stock exhaust had to cut off between the cat and the muffler.

Couple of snaps with the new kicks. But will hopefully be replacing them soon haha. Decided there are too many white/black cars on the road.
