I'm Sorry to say this to a fellow scirocco R owner Bain but "In my opinion" the colour scheme of those wheels don't suit the car!

I think it's the chrome inserts!

I too believe Polished > Chrome.
        How do the H&R feel?
Wheels' review said that the ride was the only downside compared to the megane RS.

That's ok mate. Not everyone will like it what colour would you have the polished fins if you could change them?

When I was looking around I wanted something that wasn't the standard 'mesh' or black finish. Mesh and black look great but you dont want to look like the car next to you!

Flat-mango. The springs aren't in yet. Hopefully after this weekend.t

Good to see there are more of these popping up now...
Soon they'll be as common as the R.
            Which is unfortunate IMO

definitely an interesting choice of wheel, if you wanted to respray the chrome bits a shiny jet black i reckon it might suit it a bit more,
but by saying that if you like those wheels go for it
Vw must be selling an absolutely **** load of these i see them daily up here in qld

                looking good! very tight car!

im straight out.. get rid of the chrome, go gloss black inserts and it'll look much better! You have to take not, euro's dont go well with chrome as it doesnt suit to be completely honest.. (excuse the forwardness but i had to say it!)
                What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

It doesn't help that there is no chrome on the car at all other than the wheels either.
With everyhting bing white or gloss black if it wer eme i would get hte inserts painted gloss black or white

Such a nice Rocco .:R Bain however those (Tempe Tyres) wheel look is letting it down
A nice set of Forged Rays or OZ Racing or VMR would look awesome.

I feel that rims, like a colour, comes down to personal preference. As long as you like it, who cares what others think

haha its good to get some conflicting opinions on the wheels! Rims are always going to be a love/hate debate (which I dont mind). The rims are the same as the ones Reiger Scirocco. As I didnt want to have to clean white rims every time I drove it I opted for a matte black with chrome finish.

At the end of the day, if we all liked the same type of rim we'd all have matte black mesh rims on our cars which would be boring!

The main reason for the post is because I got the car lowered yesterday. Thanks to Tim from DubAddiction for doing the work

I tried to get identical shots to see the difference in lowering with the H&R Lowering springs

                        Before:

                        After:

                        And a measurement comparison.

The car should drop a few more mm over the next couple hundred km's. In regards to ride quality, it definitely is more firm but not 'sports' mode firm where it jars your brain when going over bumps. Ive been running it in sports mode and ive found there is minimal movement when cornering and going through dips in the road. All in all im happy with it! I think will hold off on the KW DDC's for now as going any lower is not practical for a daily driver and it wont get into our driveway otherwise!

                          Looking good

You should find over the next month the front especially could settle up to around 10mm.
Even a subtle lowering job like that just seems to balance out the tyre profile vs the wheel gap issue the scirocco has going on in stock form.

                            good call.

interesting what you say about the sports mode being to firm. I cant drive my dads passat cc without the sports mode on as it feels too boaty for my liking. do you drive on comfort/normal?

should drop a bit more as Tim said. has defiantly cleaned up the wheel gap!
