  • Just some more pics

    Got around to taking some more pics of the wagon. Interior and engine.

    BTW Scored major with some rare early Passat Parts at pick and payless Blacktown. Also picked up some stock Passat rims. Looks like to old skool look is comming into place. Just gotta sand back the rust and re paint them.

    Also can be seen in the interior pic, picked up a centre console from a 1976 Passat there (owned this car for less then a day,was smashed before I could pick it up from the Car dealer) Parts went to a good place.

    Scored 2 starter motors and 2 water pumps,2 sets of sedan rear lights, TS front lights and windscreen wipers.

      Nice finds Luke! Last time I went to Pick n Payless they didn't have one VW around Well, should be a good thing actually...
      Past: Mk3 Golf 2L 8V, Audi 8L A3T.
      Present: Mk3 Golf variant.

        Well the vw section is full of old beetles which is sad, but i was supprised to see no watercooled vee dubs apart from the 74 & 76 Passat which is a good thing

            How is your engine temperature without the shroud around the radiator?

                  The temperature rises when I am in traffic or at the traffic lights. The thermo fan switch is kaputt and I have had to loop the circuit so as it is on full time.

                    Nope, never had any problems with the thermo fan or temp.

                    Sounds like u gotta get that fixed, you dont wanna cook the engine
