  • A freshly resprayed Mk2 CL

One of my good customers had her Mk2 CL (african) Golf painted this month. It was knocked around a bit but came up well. It now has an injected 1.8, Konis and a Mk3 rear suspension beam fitted. (wider) I am trying to talk her out of Gunters old wheels.! 16s would be nicer.
    Great car!!

Not really a fan of red, but it doe's look good with the black highlights.

    I also hate white & I own 4 white car's Idiot.

CL make's an awesomly cheap runabout car.

This Golf flies, it handles like a gokart and is comfortable at the same time. She also has a Viper green Mk1 deisel. I tried to get her to join the forum 12 months ago but she isnt into forums at all.
      She loves her Golfs though!

Nice one Andrew did you do the work yourself? Engine and suspension?

I think the wheels suit the car

I did Steve, it used to be the wifes old car but it was a stock carby version then. Slooow as!!!
Those wheels did some hard work on Gunter in the old days and are pretty marked up.

Very nice I had a three door 1.3 that colour back in the day. What did you put in it an aussie small valve?

No, it is an import motor. I originally put it in Britchies first Mk1 Golf. It was one of those freaky motors that did everything right. Lots of grunt and revved well. Britchie decided to go the twincam direction and so the 1.8 went into this along with the L jet injection. Next time it is in here I will check the engine code.
