    phoenix vr6 4-mo bora

    well here goes the story of my phoenix bora and how it got raised back from the dead for now il let the pictures do all the talking


    first sight and taking delivery








    top end revealed to be unscaved and all in imaculate order so going on to the bottom end revealed a little more then i thought

    now the ressurection worthy of a award ( even if i do say so myself

    managed to source some used pistons and rods with much thanks to people on this form
    after a nice clean up and polish of everything they came out looking like this ...



    within a week of receiving the pistons and rods my dad came home from he's holiday in Europe bearing gifts

      now the next step of the car was to go to vw and do all sorts of test and so on to have everything ready for viv so


      luckily everything went sweet and it passed without any hastles anywhere =]
      then i used the permit to drive the beast around and enjoy it for a bit before rego





      and most recently spent a fair bit of time making the car all sweet =]
      did a de-badge


      firstly did a headlight resto as they were horific to look at


      and then i had time so a cut, polish and a wax was called for =]=]=]=]

      ( yeah i know the bottom of girlle is missing .. ive gotta do something about its faded condition )

        neroo srsly loving your work...

        was that an auction warehouse u picked it up from? did u get it dirt cheap b/c it was fcuked ? how many k's ? and what was wrong with it ?

        also: love that your dad/mum drives a Touareg. boss

          the auction i got it from is manheim they have damaged car auctions every week , you can also check out pickles the same thing apply's ... yeah i got the car dirt cheap ( dont wanna say how cheap but yeah next to nothing hehe ) it had 131,xxx ks on it when i got it and yeah went from there the engine was hydrolocked so 3 rods were ****ed and 2 pistons damaged , rebuilt it using high quality parts and its all fine

          yeah dads got a touareg r5 tdi , mums got the mk5 golf .. sis a mk4 yeah my family loves vw's hehehe

            The car looks great Neroo - really love how the headlights look now compared to previously - lifts the whole car.

              well finaly got thease so they had to go on hehe




              stupid ebay sellers and their products had to cut the roof spoiler about 3cm to make it fit :grrr



              not exactly happy with the gap but hey whatever lol

                      their getting re-sprayed so sanding them down ... sadly they have a machined face so its a pain in the a$$

                          thanks man but sadly was my brother lol he had the car for the night im still on l'z till half way through dec

                          anyways late but got it registered finaly even tho i realy wanted euro plates or coustom i just cant afford it atm so basics ... lol
