Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It was time for a face lift after riding stock for so long.

Got new wheels, bbs ch black with goodyear F1 asym 2 and KW V1s from Chris @ TPR eng (Thanks Chris!).

The wheels and tyres were shipped from the UK. Never choose airport to airport option for shipping. Thinking you'll save a couple of hundred dollars, you will be slapped with all sorts of fees and charges. After this experience, its much more worth it paying more for a door to door shipping method (like UPS and FedEx). They do all the dirty work for you.

    Seriously WTF!

    Before:

    During installation

    In go the new coilovers...

After 6 hours, the final product

Havent really got a chance to feel the new coilovers, but driving from the workshop to home, feels f*%^^$# awesome.

its 18x8. Yeah the front needs to go down a little more but I didn't want it too low to avoid scraping bumps. Overall drop 1 inch all round.
