Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    New MKV Owner

    Hi Guys,

    I am new member here, would love to say hi to the rest of the members here. I recently bought a MKV as my daily driving car. Planning (have started a little) mods on to it. At this stage, I have only completed deadening the roof, and re trimmed the roof lining, and painted the plastic trims.

    Here are some pictures:


















    I'll be finishing the roof after Easter then I can start putting the pillars back.


    Next will be
    - Sound system
    - Coil/Air suspension
    - Wheels (have few options so still unsure which one I'll go with), it'll be either 17s or 18s
    - R32 Body kit
    - Matte vinyl body wrap
    - Leather seat

    Hi ABANG, Gotta ask, what was wrong with the old hoodlining? Is it much quieter now ?
