Haha niiiice. I was wondering how you could stand just watching cars lining up. If it was racing footage, well, that's a different story

On the weekends there are thousands of people just standing around watching the different cars going out.
couple of lanes for different purposes.
when the cars complete a lap from the in lane, it seems there is an unwritten law that the lane closest to the building is for drivers who swap out to another driver. heaps of 2-4 people cars who seem to have track day cars and share the cost.
other lanes for cars coming out of the pits and also a slower way thru for another lap.
in some webshots, you can see the witches hats out on the track, there is a card machine and a portable boom gate right in the middle of the longest straight as the express lane. the worst part is the machines keep your card on your last lap! no souvies!BLUE MKV R32 DSG

It's not the equipment you have, but how you use it. There were two Yaris there that day, and they were both piloted by excellent drivers. I got excited after passing a Mk5 R32 in the rental SLK200, then a few corners later a Yaris went past me in a corner like I was standing still. If there's one place where the adage applies "there will always be someone faster than you" it is at the Ring. On top of that there's plenty of egos there, so best to put your own in your back pocket and just enjoy the experience without coming to grief.
And, even in a Mini Moke, that track would be awesome fun!
