My mk3 GL

Just thought it was about time I stopped lazing on saturday and put some pictures of my first VW up.

So far its given me some problems as far as the gearbox goes, lots of money spent, but all seems well now.





Anyone recognise the location? Perhaps any Motor magazine readers?

Car looks hot! Nice subtle upgrades to the lights all around. I really like that colour on the Mk3 - do you happen to know what it is? Suede silver I think?

And I love the Euro plate. Gonna get me one soon

Im not real sure on the color, I dont even think it has it on the plate, I will check tomorrow. I figured VW only had one type of silver on the mk3's or am I mistaken? Thanks for the comments guys, keep them coming. Oh and as for the location, its in Lithgow, just over the blue mountains.

The colour code should be in the boot, below the hatch door. Should be a four alpha-numerical code

The wheels are from tempe tyres, from what I've heard not many people are really happy about them but I thought they did a great job. The paint looks pretty good from a distance but when you are up close there are quite a few chips and scratches. But you get that with a daly driver. I still cant seem to find that paint plate...

The colour is called 'satin silver metallic' (LB72) had a 16v gti in the same shade in the past

Always looks clean and the interior will be cool in summer
