There isn't any point.
I ordered one for both the S3 and Polo but after speaking to the guy he said the added weight genuinely is no point. It would look "great" but realistically its a complete waste of $$.
You can get 4 pots for the back of most golf/polo/s3/pirelli's but the weight will be noticable and the car doesnt really require it. Polo to light, and S3 has big rears already. What’s behind you doesn’t matter..

I don't understand the obsession with brake upgrades here. I've driven my polo as hard as I feel is reasonable on public roads and never felt braking power nor fade resistance were issues - and this is with the smaller tdi brakes.
But then I don't get the "drop it 'til it scrapes" obsession, either...Resident grumpy old fart

Youre not driving hard enough!
I think most people do tend to do BBKs because they look good though.

Eddy and jasonc23 have both found the braking power of the standard GTi brakes fine on race tracks with fade being the issue after a few laps of a tight circuit (Wakefield and Winton, respectively). Anyone braking as hard on public roads as these guys do on the track is suicidally irresponsible.
What's wrong with brake covers if the look is the important thing?
Sorry for all the OT, Pierre. Lora's car looks nice but not really my cup of tea (too old, I guess). I think the money you saved on the brakes can be counted as earnings toward other car purchasesLast edited by kaanage; 15-12-2011, 11:28 PM.Resident grumpy old fart

Plus, id rather eat my rotors down "evenly" from a 4 potter as well. Cost to replace, cheaper than oem for pads and rotors. (TT rotors)
The Brake setup cost me about 5 years ago now under $1k for all 4 rotors, pads, calipers, braided lines etc. So not that much :p
And the S3 is heavy, thats another story! I got them also quite cheap but the Polo runs Boxster Calipers and the S3 runs 996 Twin Turbo Calipers (GT3)What’s behind you doesn’t matter..
