  • My Ride

Hey guys, thought I'd introduce my car. As a new sponsor of this great forum, I also hope to become involved as a forum member; to share experience/knowledge and also to learn many things myself.

It's a 2000 Audi S4, with the following modifications performed by myself (and great friends over many weekends!):

    K04-025/026 Turbos
DNA Tuning Stage 3 ECU Programme
    MBC @ 20psi
    Bosch Green Tops 550cc
    Darintake + K&N panel filter
Custom turboback exhaust (custom piping, 3" HFC, 3" pipework to 2.5" stock rear muffler)
    Upgraded SMICs
    XSPower inlet pipes
    Autobahn88 silicon hose kit

    Visually, it looks 100% stock!

Lucas's A4 is truly in a different league of power; you can hear it spooling from a good kilometer away; but as is the case of many things, you have to pay to play!

For day to day driving I know which I'd prefer though =).

Car looks great, a tiny drop wouldn't hurt though. What sort of power is it making?

Cheers; getting coilovers is definitely on the cards, the car will be lowered once they're in.

With my DNA tune and boost @ 20psi, the car is making 330kW/660Nm at the engine; translates to around 250kw@wheels. Which, all things considered, isn't a great deal but the wide powerband is to die for (spools 10psi by 2000rpm and reaches 20psi by 3200rpm, and holds 20psi to 7100rpm redline); thus resulting in a level of driveability that a 1.8T + GT can only dream of.

hey mate, it seems like you've done a bunch of work to get to where you are, which really prompts me to raise the question as politely as possible...

are you ''merely'' a reseller of dna off-the-shelf tunes and dna-branded alientech powergates? or do you have the ability to custom map cars based on upgrades?

i simply ask because, some time down the track i would be looking at an OEM turbo upgrade for my polo 1.9tdi, and im curious as to whether you are able to provide TDI tunes for a polo tdi with a golf tdi turbo bolten on...

                          cheers,

                          scotty

No worries, yes indeed I am just a reseller, but together with DNA Tuning UK I provide maps for custom setups (such as my own + a few other built S4's so far as an example). Regardless of the knowledge I have on engine management and on VAG cars in general, all the programming/coding is done by DNA Tuning UK.

Haha, anyway more than happy to have a chat about what kind of options would be available on an upgraded turbo setup on your TDI; my intentions of going on the cruise today was literally for recreation which is probably why you weren't aware of who I am here on the forum!
