Traction requires better shocks and solid control arm bushes. Then it will stick.

Interesting! well I will be organising some B8's in the new year so that should help. The stock shocks are fine as they are at the moment albeit a little rough in the back (but the rear shocks are like toothpicks so that might explain it).

Any recommendations for control arm bushes?

Check with Dave and Scott - they had solid bushes on the 9N3 cruise.

I've had them in the past and the extra control/feedback is very noticable.

Nah it's just a nickname. I'm sure the crime at knifepoint is no different than any other shopping centre

Thanks Manda which car was yours? I was parked waaaay up the back and didn't see anyone near me?
I've got a MKV Candy White GTI Golf. I parked all the waaaay up the back so no MOFO will park next to me and bang their door into my car! I saw yours and thought 'cool I'll park next to the other little GTI he won't damage mine' then I saw your plates and wondered if you were on here. Door dents drive me nuts. I'll happily walk for 5 - 10mins and park away from everyone else.

Suppose im due for a bit of an update:

                - Whiteline RSB
                - Whiteline front lower control arm bushes
                - Wheels painted anthracite with a gold fleck through it

                Love my little go kart

A mate came down from QLD for a visit, took him for a run up the spur on Thursday (also so i could put the new gear to the test):

Looking good, did you notice much increase in vibration from the control arm bushes, I have the same ones, there are alot easier to get in than the Seat ones. Pedders seem to be able to shoe horn them in, with out dropping the subframe or whatever most people do

Thanks mate. Nah I havent noticed much vibration at all (which is a good thing i hope lol). I dont know if its a placebo effect or not but i feel like it has a smoother takeoff and better braking too.

Didnt take Pedders too long to get them in so im guessing they just shoehorned them in, they annihilated the old ones getting them out though

Wheels look great, did you paint them yourself or did you get someone to do it?

sorry mate only just saw this. I had a mate who knew someone that could do it for me. His car's wheels had a similar color to it so I said I wanted something like that with a bit of a fleck through it. It really needs to be seen in the sun to show the full color in it!
