Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

      Hahaha!

See my driveway? (And there's plenty worse it has to face occasionally) - you know the sound of scraping belly-pan...when ther's only one way back off again... (there's a few bits I've tacked back together!)

It's actually now the lowest car I've owned so probably not going there.

      My mod priorities:
      - Exhaust
      - Wheels: something in a black + chrome combo, prob still 17s, ride's hard enough on our roads.
      - ? Chip
      - ??? had wondered about trying to source / import a GLI grille but don't mind the Jetta's chrome (' cept plastic - yuk) pattern. Pattern = .:R32 and apparently the upcoming .:R36 Passat. I like it better than the standard Passat or the Eos fronts.

          Hi shadowblue,

I presume you have probably surprised many larger capacity engine cars. Many reviews indicate that the drivetrain is awesome.

          Cheers,

            Also have Shadow Blue!

            Hey SB!
Great to see another Shadow Blue Turbo out on the road (we are a rarity afterall!). I have the same only a full VW body kit and 18's. It appears lower than yours but that could be because of the kit and bigger wheels??

Do you have any squeeks in your suspension at all??

              Another pic

No, Shaawing - no particular suspension noises. Just the usual developing interior panel noises but not too bad. No real issues with the car at all so far (18 000km). (Touches wood!). Z33Fairlady - best thing about it: Wolf in sheeps clothing.

Here's one of shadow blue in a different light (sorry, all of these are phonecamera):
