clean VR, nice stance... but for the love of GOD get rid of the GHASTLY wheels!

they really dont do the rest of the car justice!

i love the clean look, dude, and wheels are totally subjective, but i would have to say in my opinion, the chrome of the wheels takes away from how clean and tidy the rest of the car is.

but i reckon the wheels themselves are a pretty nice design- i imagine that if they were a bbs style bright silver, or a VW optional alloy style silver, they'd look really good in an OEM+ sorta way.

keep it up, though- your VR is much much nicer to look at than mine was, lol.

yeah, the wheels suck, i dont know what the original owner was thinking!!
Untill i find a decent set of factory vr6 BBS rims, they have gotta do! 17" are too big anyway, they scrub at full-lock...

Any1 in adelaide got a set off BBS up for sale?

Not all 17's will rub mate, its all about offset's and tyre widths

VR6 BBS's come along sometimes and they ususally are pretty cheap

The stockers are gross please don't put them back on! Have a look on ebay for some MKIV or Audi TT/A3 wheels, there are a set of TT 17's going for a rather low price in the for sale section, they're a nice start

Any ideas on the perfect rim-size + offset + tyre-size?

ET43 is the correct offset I think unless someone else wants to correct me? Whereabouts in Adelaide are you? I know the guys at bridgestone golden grove pretty well. Might be worth confirming the fitment? I'd suggest 16inch as being the best compromise for the car.

                          Mk3 GTI/VR6 5-Stud 92>97 5x100 ET43 with 205/45/16 tyre size

                            ET43??!!!!! Hell no lol!

It all depends on what look your after.
16s are an optimal size on a MK3, so a 16x8 +20 would sit very nicely, flush with the guards with a 205/40
