Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • My Bora V5

I took this photo this morning just to get a "before" picture before it had its windows tinted and it came out so well that I thought I would post it!

Will take another in the same spot tomorrow with the tinted windows!

    *Edit*
Now with 35% tint, 20% would have looked better but I wanted to keep it legal:

Will look awesome with the window tint.
Just needs to sit lower and on some aristo's and it would be ace.

I can't lower it, it already scrapes the front slightly as I enter my underground parking! Would like to have some 17's on it though.

Not sure what the origional Bora V5 alloys were callled, but IMHO,they were the most attractive ever used by VW.

They just need a good cleaning, and keep them on,they look awesome.

I agree, they are a nice style. Although 17's just fill the arches better, the Bora Sport wheels are very similar in design and just fit the car much better. Will be keeping an eye out for a set!

Looks heaps better with the tint on.
I would be looking for bora sports, TT's or Aristo's.

Woohoo! New wheels are on! Refurbished 17" Bora Sports with 225/45/17 Firestones.

Sorry, it needs a clean but just had to get some photos!! And yes, it would look better lowered but I can't due to garage access.
