  • 2010 Colac Custom Car & bike show

This weekend saw the annual Colac Custom car & bike show roll into the little country town & I, along with a bunch of my good friends make the trip down, as its an awesome day & the weekend is full of different things to do from the Fri. night drive in which normally shows old Aussie Car movies & this year was "Running On Empty" to the Sun/ day cruise through the country side.

Its also one of the few chances where alot of the big powered & very fast street cars come out & make the trek down from Geelong.

I mean fast as on 9, 10, 11 sec cars etc.

There is nothing better I reckon than cruising along in a convey of 10-20+ "tough as nail" cars which all sound cranky as hell cruising down the highway!!!!

I will be trying to attend as many car/bike shows as I can get to through out summer & hope to bring you some pics & maybe some story's along the was.

Next show/meet is the Warrnambool drags at the end of the month which should incl. some very quick & awesome looking cars

Anyway. Here is alittle bit of a review of the day. Sorry if some of the pics are alittle blurry. It can be hard at times to get some pics with people always intent on walking across the front of you while taking a pic!

              Yeah Pretty confident it was.

It had a sign/plaque in the boot about the cars history from memory.

Yeah, its definitely always on my calendar to go for a cruise & have a look!

It normally fills up the town centre garden very quickly, spills out into the blocked off street & then all the bikes are spilled out onto the other side of the park in the main street & all around the pub!

There would have had to be 300+ cars & god knows how many bikes!

                Great Value too!
                $10 to get in
                $10 to show your car
& gold coin donation to walk in, kids are free

I'm not normally a fan of static car shows but this show is a definate exception. Its also good to go down, take the esky, have a few drinks & catch up with a bunch of mates I don't normally get to see during the year & see what they've been upto or built.

If your into cool car shows, I think you may have to dude

There plenty more of this over the next few months & there nearly something going on every weekend that its daylight savings!

I think one of the biggest shows of the year is next month.

Picnic at Hanging Rock which gets upto 2500 display vehicles and approx 10,000 spectators!

                    Now thats a show!
