  • My New Golf GTI MKV

    Hi All,

Well i finally picked up my car today. So I thought i would start the thread with the first rather average pic of the car from carsales. Then post up some new ones when i get a chance to take it out for a photo shoot. I work in IT but do a lot of photography on the side (see my sig).

So far i am loving the car, but it hasnt sunk in that its mine yet! Looking forward to going on a long cruise with it.

    Cheers,

    Rossco

Cheers dubbed. I am a computer system officer doing first and second level support.

Unfortunately the good start came to an end today. The windscreen was replaced on tuesday when the roadworthy was done on the car due to a chip in it. So today in the heat my rear vision mirror fell off.................

So i went to the dealer and they are having it fixed tomorrow. So i dont get to enjoy my GTI just yet.

lol "a few quick edits", very nice pics dude.

Looks like those white ones really benefit from colour coding the bumpers, I reckon that'd be a great addition to your beasty.

Cheers guys. I think this will be the first of many photos.

Today i put in an Xcarlink for ipod control. Didnt break anything and it all works.

Tomorrow i believe my stubby aerial should arrive.

                    Then what to do next.

Well last week i went on my first real road trip 2000kms all up . I went from Bendigo VIC to near Batemans Bay NSW where i have some family. I went through thredbo on the way up and back through adaminaby on the way back.

Anyway the GTI was fantastic in the mountains, Never missed a beat.

                        I Averaged 9.1L/100km which included a tank of 95 instead of 98.

                        Here are some photos:

                        Near Hume Power Station

                        Tumut Pondage Dam near Cabramurra

Near Jagumba - North of Khancoban

Good to know you're enjoying the car! Fantastic photos, though I can't help but notice that you photograph the shadowed side of the car The candy white Mk5s are incredibly vibrant and bright, and I have troubles photographing them with the sun behind me!
