Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

I was a bit undecided on the wheels when i first got them, but they were in mint condition and an awesome price so I bit the bullet. Won that gamble!

yeh was thinking of chucking in some 5 or 10mm spacers. They are an ET35 at the moment and dont rub on anything which i love.
So if anything the back will be spaced and I'll leave the front alone

It really is amazing what ride height and wheels can do for a car.. It doesn't really matter what you have, at the right height, with the right wheels, it will look good. (Take the Caddy for example..)

I really am impressed with how that looks man. It's very nice.

Looks mint mate!!! Great stance are you riding on H&R springs or coilovers? I agree push the rears out a bit more for perfection

the thought has crossed my mind when the time comes I'll get some later update 9n rub strips (they didnt have the texture and were painted. Like the GTI) and slap them on! But at the moment, I think the black rub strips just break it up that tiny bit, because its REALLLLYYYY red!
