Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Not entered this year, I'm doing the Duttons, Sun Coast and Buller Sprint this year though. Definitely entering next year though I haven't decided on competitive or regularity class for my first time. Everyone I've spoken to who had done the Targa says to do the regularity first time to get used to the event.

That B&W looks the class. Like above, I can't believe the cops did you over the way they did.

would have to say the rims would be the thing that got you pulled over, they do look good though

                        hehe, thanks fellas!
yea...the rims ... they arn't staying on, ill hopefully be going some bbs rims or something allong those lines once the respray is finished.
(its got a few little scratches etc) so, the mk1 will be the daily driver once all that is done. got a few more pics ill put up soon. all the pics were taken with a mobile phone too, lol....however the contrast etc has to be tweaked in photo shop to sharpen them up a little bit.
                        more up soon .

Mmmm, Blackie was great on those sort of roads. Handled so sweetly. We got 6th outright in the classic challenge back in '99 so he might know some of those sealed roads you used Benny.
That was definately my favourite Golf to drive hard on windey roads.
Sorry bout the paint on the rear panel, dam sponsors stickers!!!
