  • My Pirelli GTI on KW

I posted these in the MK5 section, but had forgotten about this section too.
so here's some more photo spam.
KW V3 went in on Friday, so it was time to give it a wash and take some pics:
    Some of my Pirelli GTI

It looks like a dark blue/grey...that's some real nice photography. The photo's are a tiny bit dark but the effect they give off is amazing. Well done!

        Looking good, very nice colour.

The 2nd picture looked like satin/matte paint.

Blue Graphite (or is it Graphite Blue?) - somewhere between VW's Shadow Blue and United Grey.

The darkness was intentional - wanted to let the background disappear a bit more (it was a crappy carpark with plenty of Corollas in the background)

Very nice! I think I remember seeing a GT in those colours too. This would be the second time I've seen this colour, even in pics.

So the Pirelli came in this colour, and that distinct yellow?

can I be so bold as to suggest you lower it another 15mm?

Thanks - it is a 400D with their 17-55 EFS f2.8 lens - had a 580 exII flash on the cmera body too.
Lenses count for a lot more than the body IMO, so i've spent much more than the body is worth in replacing the two kit lenses

Thanks! Horribly expensive, and the KWv1 (or v2) would have probably been more than enough really... no regrets though

You may be so bold, and I may just do it.
The light in these pics has missed out the vertical panel that runs around the arches, so it looks like the wheel gap is collosal.
In the light of day there's a good sense of symmetry happening with (about) a 2 finger gap front and rear. I like the arches to look like they're defining the wheel and not deeply cupping the rim from above... know what I mean?

Some new wheels are on their way with a more aggressive offset, so lowering further may be on the books to get that looking right
