VAG cars I have owned.

I thought I would post up a few pics of the various VAG cars I have owned.



B5.5 Passat 1.8T Purchased this new in September 2002. Mods done to it included APR re-map, Koni's, Neuspeed Sway Bar, GFB Blow off Valve, Audi 16" rims, Eibach springs and a few other cosmetic items,

Traded it on:



Mark IV R32 purchased this new in July 2004, over the years it had APR, CDA CAI, Koni / Stassis coilovers, blue haldex controller, Hawk brake pads, Tomas sport rear brace and a few things done to it.

Traded it yesterday on:



Mark V GTI, with leather and DSG.

Also had this for a while:



B5 Audi Avant 1.8TQ MY01 with RS6 rims

And have this now as a stablemate to the GTI



Skoda Octavia vRS, APR re-map.

Its a bit scary to think that 7 years I have had 5 VAG cars, 1 Hyundai, 1 BA Ford XR6.....I really need to stop buying and selling cars.

Nice R32, and with those mods, a mkv gti would be a bit of a downgrade?

By the time it was traded the R was almost stock again...APR re-flash was still in it but that was about it.

Not sure about the downgrade....Mark IV R32 to Mark V R32 would of been as the Mark V is a lot softer, more refined, not as exciting to drive as the original. The GTI is so different, turbo 4 cyl, dsg etc, etc. I will miss the R thats for sure.

They all have good points and some bad points.

The Passat was a nice car to drive around, but the seats made your bum numb in about 2 hours. With the mods it was a quick car and surprised a few people. I remember one run through the hills behind Brisbane with Quozl in his R32, myself in the Passat and another guy in his A4 1.8TQ.....the Audi totally melted the brakes trying to keep up.

The Audi was a brilliant touring car, Brisbane to Melbourne no worries with room for all the rubbish a family of 4 carries.

The R32....just had to be driven hard, you couldnt just cruise, they are a an all or nothing car, very involving.

The Skoda is a great car, very well built, quick too......I love embarrasing Commodore and Falcon drivers with it. And watchin people trying to work out what car it is is fun too.

I havent driven the GTI enough yet........will let you know.

My cousin had the VRS back in the UK some 4 years ago and I was very impressed, drove hard, handled well and really good value, going really cheap second hand in the UK you could pick one up for around $8,000...

Still a nice nice car !
